      Codeword Sweepstakes - Legal

      In this section, you will be able to set your Default Age Limit for the contest and customize your Rules, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.

      While Second Street provides boilerplate Rules, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy templates, you will likely want to customize these documents to tailor to your specific promotion and organization’s policies.

      Tip! We always suggest that you have your internal legal team review your Rules, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.

      Tip! You can create your own legal defaults under your Organization Settings.

      Rules

      To edit or customize your Rules, simply click within the text editor on the screen.

      • Minimum Age

      On this step, you’ll need to set the minimum age requirement for your contest to the right of the text editor. Once you’ve set your minimum age, click Save and Approve, and you’ll see a green check mark appear next to Rules.

      • Winner Restriction

      Winner_Restriction_ScreenshotYou have the ability to set the winner restrictions so that previous winners can be eligible to win again immediately after this promotion, or you can set the number of days until they are eligible to win again.

       

      Heads Up! Restricting when a user can win again will prevent the user from winning in future rounds of the promotion, as well as for any other sweepstakes within the organization.

      Terms of Service

      To edit or customize your Terms of Service, simply click into the text editor and insert your own text, or make adjustments using our templates as a starting base. Make sure to click Save and Approve after entering your own edits.

      Privacy Policy

      To edit or customize your Privacy Policy, simply click into the text editor and insert your own text, or make adjustments using our templates as a starting base. Make sure to click Save and Approve after entering your own edits.

       

      When all of these steps have been completed, you should see a check mark next to the Rules & Legal step on your contest Dashboard.
