Create a Custom Bracket

This guide will cover the initial Creation Screen for your Custom Bracket.

Configure the Primary Settings

Configure the Primary Settings

1. Contest Name

This is public facing, so keep that in mind when naming the contest.

2. Contest Start Date

This will default to today's date and determines where this contest is sorted in the listings on the Contests tab within the admin. This field should be configured in this format mm/dd/yyyy.

3. Bracket Close Date/Time

This field determines when the bracket will close for picking. It should be configured in this format, mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss AM/PM. If you leave the above date/time blank, then users will be allowed to pick as the tournament progresses.

4. Bracket Type

This determines the type of bracket you will run. The choices are:

Round By Round (64 Entrants), Round By Round (32 Entrants), Round By Round (16 Entrants), Round By Round (8 Entrants), Fan Vote (64 Entrants), Fan Vote (32 Entrants), Fan Vote (16 Entrants), Fan Vote (8 Entrants) and Upfront Bracket (64 Entrants).

A Round By Round bracket allows players to pick each round as the tournament progresses.

Tip! We would suggest using this bracket type only for sports tournaments where there is an actual score for you to add for each matchup.

An Upfront Bracket requires players to make all of their picks before the bracket closes for picks.

Tip! We would suggest using this bracket type only for sports tournaments where there is an actual score for you to add for each matchup.

A Fan Vote Bracket allows users to vote on each match up and allow you to move the entrant with the most votes to the next round.

Tip! This is a great alternative bracket type to run along with your sports bracket (exp. Best Food Truck Bracket or Best Burger Bracket)

5. Status

You can change the status at any time. Changing a Test contest to Live does not reset any settings or registrations.

6. Feedback Email Address

This is the address used to forward relevant inquiries from your players directly to someone within your organization.
