Designing a Template, Not an Email

The Template Builder is for creating email templates (layouts).

You are creating a layout that will likely be used again and again by many emails. You are not building a specific email. The best way to think about the Template Builder is it’s a way to edit content location and styling, but not edit the actual content itself.

When you work in the Template Builder, think of an email in terms of blocks of content. You are creating a place for content to appear, like a text box, an image, an article, or a divider. So, the Template Builder controls where content goes and how content appears.

If you want to turn specific content areas off or edit the content itself, such as what the text says, what image is appearing, what links are being used--then you need to do that when creating your email.
